Who we are

The Matmidim Club is a rewards program run inside Jewish day schools. Students earn points for extra Torah learning and redeem them for prizes chosen by their school. Each school's data belongs to that school and is kept separate from every other school.

What we collect

  • Staff accounts: name, email address, and sign-in method (password or Google sign-in).
  • Student accounts: a username and password set by the school. Students never provide an email address.
  • Learning activity: points awarded, subjects learned, attendance, badges, goals and prize redemptions.
  • Uploaded content: proof photos, videos or audio that students submit for review, and school logos or prize images uploaded by staff.

How we use it

  • To run the club: awarding points, showing leaderboards, tracking goals and redeeming prizes.
  • To let school staff manage their own students, classes and settings.
  • Google sign-in is used only to authenticate authorized school staff. We do not read contacts, emails, calendars or any other Google data.

We never sell data, never show advertising, and never use student data for marketing.

Who can see what

  • Students see only their own points, badges and prizes. Point balances are private.
  • Leaderboards show first names only and are kept separate for boys and girls.
  • Teachers and admins see only the students in their own school.
  • Uploaded files are stored privately and shown only to authorized members of the same school.

Children's privacy

Student accounts are created and managed entirely by school staff. Students cannot sign up on their own, cannot be contacted through the app, and cannot share personal information publicly. Schools act as the guardians of their students' data and may request correction or deletion at any time.

Data storage and security

Data is stored on secure, encrypted cloud infrastructure. Access is controlled by sign-in credentials and database-level rules that keep each school's data isolated. Staff should keep their passwords private and sign out on shared devices.

Your choices

A school may ask at any time to export, correct or delete its data, including individual student records. Contact us at mszidele@gmail.com and we will take care of it promptly.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
